As summer approaches and we edge ever closer to the dance floor, Circa Groove are delighted to welcome Saktu to the CG family with his spaced-out roller ‘Foker Plat’ for CGR004. Saktu is a prominent figure on the underground scene, with a career spanning over 22 years, the St. Petersburg-based artist has sold out some of the best clubs around the globe. His trippy, groove-based cut on the EP is a testament to his experience, whilst the accompanying remixes present some new school grooves from Amsterdam-based Mathjis Smit and Jerome.c, who have both brought their youthful flavour to the table.
A2 is hosted by Mathjis, who has seen incredible success with his recent BEEYOU release. The Dutch talent delivers his signature synth-heavy sound, bursting with energy and guaranteed to blow up any dance floor at the height of a DJ set. Produced using vintage analog gear such as the Yamaha DX200, Roland MC909 as well as the legendary Juno 106 this house trip will send you to another dimension.
On the B side we have a well-rounded roller from Jerome.c. This bouncing remix doesn’t hold back, expressing a sophisticated groove while focusing on a tight drum pattern, complimented with a captivating bassline. The soft chord stab on this remix offers the driving force to the track and gives Jerome unique identity making this record a weapon for everyone to enjoy.
